Privacy Policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
This explains what personal information this website collects, why, who it's shared with and what your rights are. I try to collect as little as possible.
Who I am
This website is run by James Lambert, trading as Lambert Sports Therapy, in Ipswich, Suffolk. I'm the "data controller", which means I decide how your information is used. To contact me about anything in this policy, use the enquiry form.
What I collect and why
Enquiry form
If you send an enquiry I receive your name, email address, phone number and message, plus the optional "what's it about" and preferred times if you fill those in. I use these only to reply to you and arrange an appointment if you want one. My lawful basis is legitimate interests (answering a question you've asked me) and taking steps at your request before you book.
Please don't put detailed medical information in the form. I'll ask for what I need when we speak or at your appointment.
Enquiries are stored by Netlify (who host the site and its forms) and sent to my inbox through Resend (an email delivery service). I only keep an enquiry for as long as I need it to deal with it and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch, then I delete it.
Booking
Appointments are booked through Setmore, a third-party booking service. When you book, you give your details to Setmore, and I receive them so I can see you. Setmore has its own privacy policy and handles that information under it. Nothing you enter on the booking pages passes through this website.
Newsletter
If you subscribe I collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name. I send a confirmation email and only add you once you click the link (double opt-in). Your consent is the lawful basis, and you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email. Your details are held by Brevo, the email service I use to send the newsletter, until you unsubscribe. I won't pass your details on to anyone else or use them for anything other than the newsletter.
Treatment and clinical records
Information about your health that you share when you come for an appointment (including at your assessment) is handled separately from this website. I'll explain what I record and how it's kept at your first appointment.
Technical information
Like any website, the hosting provider (Netlify) automatically processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. Fonts and images are served from this site itself, so simply visiting a page doesn't send your information to anyone else.
Cookies
This website doesn't set any cookies of its own and doesn't use advertising or analytics trackers. If you follow a link to Setmore, Instagram or Google, those sites have their own cookie policies.
Google reviews
The reviews shown on this site are public Google reviews, collected when the site is built. Your browser doesn't contact Google to load them, and no information about you as a visitor is sent. Reviewers' names and comments are shown as they appear on Google.
Who I share information with
Only the service providers named above, and only so they can do their job for me: Netlify (hosting and forms), Resend (email delivery), Brevo (newsletter) and Setmore (booking). Some of these are based outside the UK, so your information may be processed overseas. They rely on recognised safeguards for international transfers. I don't sell your information.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:
- give you a copy of the information I hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your information
- restrict or stop how I use it
- move it to another provider, where that applies (data portability)
Where I rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, get in touch through the enquiry form. I'll respond within one month.
Complaints
I'd like the chance to put things right first, but you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes to this policy
If I change how the site uses your information I'll update this page and the date at the top.
